Our next writer is the 2019 Kentucky State teacher of the year, Jessica Dueñas. In addition to being an award-winning teacher, Jessica was also an alcoholic for many years. In her story titled, Drowning In Shallow Water, Jessica takes you inside her five weeks at a rehab facility.

Pieces of Jessica’s story have already been featured on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith and Jessica has helped others who struggle with substance abuse through her own platform, Bottomless To Sober.

The level of honesty and truth-telling that Jessica displays is not something you’ll want to miss. As usual, her first chapter will be out this Sunday and every Sunday for the remainder of September.
